Chris G LeBon:  Jazzman, Bluesman, Showman!!....With the FRENCH Touch!!

Monte Carlo Fairmont Hotel Wedding

“....I have always alternated my music between blues, rock,  jazz and the African rhythms......In any case, music is my life..it makes me feel...it is proof that I exist...and..I FEEL GOOD!”

Inspired by the great tradition of American soul music and the fusion of blues, boogie woogie, jazz, R&B and love ballads, Chris G Le Bon was born… An Entertainer rarely seen today! Influenced by the greatest artists of show-business, by the swing and class of Frank Sinatra, the charisma on stage of Sammy Davis Jr, the elegance and the warmth of Nat King Cole and Charles Aznavour, the power of Edith Piaff and the energy of James Brown, Chris G Le Bon has created his own appealing style.

Chris G Le Bon started his life surrounded and inspired by the colours and the sega beat of the beautiful Mauritius Island. Raised by musical parents,  Chris was immersed in a mix of classic, jazz and pop music throughout his youth. As a teenager, he and his musical mates began a band, The Stardusters, which soon became the number 1 pop group on the island and beyond. The band was awarded the prestigious Indian Ocean Music Award and nominated for an OBE for musical works in the British Commonwealth.

The world beckoned, and the Stardusters were invited to tour Africa, and experience firsthand the music which influenced most genres of music throughout the world.. This was a time of discovery for Chris.

“.....Every day was an adventure into diverse musical cultures, guttural beats and harmonious vocals ...and I was lucky enough to be its witness... absorbing it all!!”

This journey lasted 4 years and ended in the Stardusters going their separate ways, Chris choosing Paris as his new home, via a short visit to America.

The following years, living the bohemian life in Mont Martre, Paris, Chris developed his own style; this was highly influenced by his natural optimistic, happy nature and layback island coolness. Accompanying; and being accompanied by greats such as Blues Man WILLIE MABON, SAM WOODYARD  and his very close friend MICHAEL SILVA (Drummer of SAMMY DAVIS and FRANK SINATRA); Chris did the scene at all the ‘Caves de Jazz’ in Paris and toured Europe and Jazz festivals on several occasions.  He worked as singer and bassist for CBS and Virgin Records.

“....Ah Paris...nothing compares to those days...the smoke filled Caves, the late nights doing 4 or more gigs...... back then..there was plenty of work once you broke into the ‘click’..and became appreciated!! “

Chris eventually followed the sun and spent many years on the South French and Italian Riviera coast. Being known for his unique style incorporating the traditional American soul music and the fusion of blues, jazz, R&B, Chris with his talented musicians excelled in unforgettable and  stunning performances to a diverse clientele.

As a talented musician, singer and entertainer, this excellent showman delivers the public a stunning performance and his cool style shows his hyper-professionalism. His repertoire extends from the jazz standards, pop music, big band swing, to the funky Rhythm’N’Blues from the 60’s and 70’s…His performance is highlighted by his “French Touch” singing beautifully in French as well as in English.
